Meet our Pastor

Pastor R. G. Watts

Pastor R. G. Watts

Scripture...

The prophetic leader of Deliverance Tabernacle of Praise, Inc., Pastor Roy G. Watts, began serving in the office of Pastor in November 2001.  Since his installation, Pastor Watts has relayed the vision given to him by God to this body of believers.

Pastor Watts has been commissioned to spread the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Nations.  In 2000, he was given the vision of Deliverance Tabernacle of Praise (D.T.O.P.).  Without the service of an architect, Pastor and First Lady Watts built the tabernacle in Fayetteville, GA from the blue prints seen only in the spirit realm.  God gave them the vision and the ingenuity in order to materialize that which was seen in the spirit to manifest in the natural.

Currently located in Jonesboro, GA, Deliverance Tabernacle of Praise, Inc. has influenced the community and serves as a beacon of light within the city.

Pastor Roy Watts first heard his calling into the ministry while he was a member of Deliverance Cathedral of Love, Inc.   He studied and served under tutelage of the illustrious Bishop M.S. Nesbit of Raleigh, Prelate of North Carolina, for many years before the Lord called him to Fayetteville, GA.  It was later prophesied that “out of the belly of Fayetteville shall arise a great church” and God’s Word has truly come to pass.

Pastor Watts has cultivated strong civic and cleric relations in the area.  He is sought out far and near for his uncompromising dedication to the Kingdom of God.  He is a mentor, a teacher, a scholar and advisor to many.  Having been afforded a vast academe to advance his educational endeavors and enhance the Kingdom of God, Pastor Watts demonstrates the true essences of a servant.  He served our nation as a soldier in the U.S. Army. He has been employed by the Federal Government as an Aviation Safety Inspector for over 28 years.  Not only has Pastor Watts served his country, he also serves the community.  With strong ties to both civic and community organizations, Pastor Watts humbly is an active volunteer as a Prison Chaplain for the County. He also regularly volunteers for the City of Atlanta for “Meals Program” and “Community Activist”.

Pastor Watts and his wife, Gwendolyn, have been married for 40+ years and are the proud parents of four; Leonora, Arcadia, Allison, and Stephen; and the grandparents of nine.
